100% Riesling

Southern Slovak wine region, Mužla village. Grapes harvested from vineyards managed in BIO mode, planted on the southern side of the Mužla hills in the geographical center of a triangle formed by the Hron and Danube rivers. The substrate is of volcanic origin, clayey-loamy soil with a high lime content, rich in minerals. Whole-cluster pressing, overnight static settling, followed by spontaneous fermentation in oak barrels. The wine matures on fine sediment without stirring, made using traditional methods without the use of selected yeasts, enzymes, or other additives.

Straw-yellow color of medium intensity with a gentle haze. Gradually unfolding aroma, dominated by green apple, citrus, and meadow herbs. Fruit-herbal notes complemented by touches of minerals. In the mouth, it is dry, medium-full, rich with good structure. Well-integrated unobtrusive acidity, freshness instantly fills the entire mouth. Distinctive fruity finish with mineral touches.

Bott Frigyes

Bott Frigyes is known as absolute top producer in Slovakia

The vineyards are located on the border with Hungary, specifically on southern slopes of the Muzsla Hills, in the heart of the historic wine region in the geographical triangle defined by the River Garam and the Danube. The soil is made up of a clay layer on top of a volcanic bedrock, rich in limestone and minerals. Frigyes recently transitioned from organic viticulture to biodynamic methods in his vineyards.

Frigyes specializes on clean, light and grape-typical wines that capture the essence of traditional Hungarian and Central European grape varieties bestowed by the wine region: Furmint, Hárslevelu, Juhfark, Kékfrankos and Kadarka. The wines spontaneously ferment and are aged in Hungarian oak barrels between 6 to 12 months. While some of the wines undergo careful filtration, all of them receive a light touch of sulphur during the bottling process.
